Phoenix Contact Type 2 cable, single-phase 7.4 kW
This Phoenix Contact cable links an electric car with a Type 2 inlet to a Mode 3 AC charging station, with a Type 2 (Mennekes) connector at both ends. It is a single-phase lead rated 32 A for up to 7.4 kW — the common choice where a car or supply is single-phase rather than three-phase.
Single-phase up to 7.4 kW
Rated 32 A on a single phase for up to 7.4 kW, the cable carries the lowest of what the charging station and the car's onboard charger allow. It fits any car with a Type 2 inlet, and its 5 m length reaches comfortably from a wall box or post to a charging port on either side of the car.
Built to be handled daily
The connector housings are solid, non-flammable thermoplastic that resists scratches, pressure and knocks, and the outer sheath is flexible, hard-wearing TPE-U rated for more than 10,000 mating cycles. Plugged in, the connection is protected to IP44; with the protective caps fitted the disconnected connectors are rated IP54. The connectors conform to IEC 62196-2.

Frequently asked questions
Is this single-phase or three-phase?
Single-phase, rated 32 A for up to 7.4 kW. For three-phase AC charging up to 11 or 22 kW you need a three-phase Type 2 cable and a car that supports three-phase charging.
